Our wonderful team of Y3 staff aspire to make every second count and to embed our happiness at the heart school motto.

Autumn Term - 2nd half

Autumn 2 is an exciting half-term as the children will be hosting a Paddington Bear Tea Party where they will invite a Y2 buddy to come and listen to their innovated chapters from last half-term and enjoy a treat together.  They will be introduced to the Iron Man text and enjoy lots of reading and responding activities to develop their inference skills and recounts. Within History, the class will explore the themes of Black History Month, Remembrance and the fantastic journey of The Normans during their conquest. By studying local links to Skipton Castle, the children will learn about Motte and Bailey castles and how to construct their own within Design and Technology. The class are looking forward to their enrichment within the New Year as they will be venturing out to explore Skipton Castle as part of a guided tour! This half-term is always a busy and exciting one, not just with Christmas play performances, but with a scheduled Forest School session, visit to Holy Trinity Church and training from the Bikeability team!
